Sam Darnold isn’t taking any chances in the bubble-less NFL.
“For me, I’m just going to stay in my apartment and really just travel from there to here inside the building” said Darnold per ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
Darnold, who lives close to the Jets training facility in Florham Park, New Jersey, doesn’t plan on enjoying a night on the town in New York City. The quarterback plans to stay cautious, especially since he was diagnosed with mononucleosis after a night out at Bounce, a sports club in NYC, last season, which resulted in him missing three games. The New York Jets stayed winless during his absence.
Instead, Darnold looks to have an illness-free season in a Tom Brady-less AFC East.
