Developing: Celtics “Imploding” in the Locker Room Following Game 2 Collapse

The Boston Celtics did not have a great night in the bubble. They were coming off of a Game 1 loss which they should have won and then lost Game 2 after they held a 17-point lead in the first half and a 5-point lead with 4:25 left.

Then it got worse in the locker room after the game… way worse.

According to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe, Marcus Smart was screaming in Boston’s locker room and there was a “bunch of arguing going on.” Smart was heard yelling “y’all on that b***s***!”

Washburn tweeted the “team is imploding” and that he had never heard such of a raucous standing outside a locker room.

When you see a reporter tweet out that a team in the Eastern Conference Finals is imploding, that’s never good news. The Celtics do have a right to be irritated with themselves because they know they should have a 2-0 series lead on the Miami Heat and instead are down 2-0.

We’ll have to see what the players say once they talk to the media, but this is certainly not an encouraging thing to hear, especially when the Celtics can still come back and win the series.
