The Celtics faced off against the red hot Denver Nuggets following two back-to-back losses to the Pistons and Wizards. Jaylen Brown led the way in what ended up being a much-needed, 112-99 win for the C’s. Nikola Jokic did his best to play spoiler, but a great all-around performance from the Celtics was enough to hold on and get it done.
Daniel Theis joined Marcus Smart and Romeo Langford on the injury report for Boston due to a sprained finger. For Denver, they had a rather lengthy injury report of their own. Gary Harris, Will Barton, Paul Millsap, Monte Morris, PJ Dozier, and Greg Whittington were all out.
This game ended up being the Nikola Jokic show. While a couple of his teammates put up respectable numbers, it felt as though the Nuggets’ offense was solely relying on the Joker. He ended the game with 43 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, with 29 of his points coming in the first half alone.
