The Celtics NEEDED That Win (Morning Cup of Green 3/5/20)

Alright everybody… I am getting back into the Morning Cup of Green (MCG) series. What a throwback. If you are new here, MCG was a daily series back in the day in which I would, simply put, quickly blog my thoughts about this Celtics team or whatever else was going on at the time. So without further ado, let’s jump back into it.

Ahh… the sweet taste of victory. The Celtics absolutely NEEDED that win in Cleveland. I don’t care who was out/injured, or that the Cavs stink. The Celtics needed to win that game, given the terrible loss to the Nets. My theory was this IF they blew it vs the Cavs, then this season had a strong chance of spiraling down. Now, I am not saying they don’t make the playoffs or don’t win 50 games… no. I am just saying the overall vibe of this team would’ve been terrible. But we don’t have to worry about that because the Celtics beat the Cavs in Cleveland, on the second night of a back-to-back by a score of 112-106.

Jayson Tatum picked up exactly where he left off (currently crying because he is growing up so fast – now 22!!!). He dropped 32 points in the dub, but what I was impressed with most was his newfound ability to facilitate when necessary.

Well, that’ll do it guys! Your quick-hitting, easy on the eyeballs, Morning Cup of Green!
