Twitter Reacts to the Jets, Giants Week 6 Wins

New York football is back, baby! Both the Jets (4-2) and Giants (5-1) secured wins in week 6 as underdogs. The Jets were 7.5-point dogs at Lambeau Field against the Packers, while the Giants were getting 5.5 points at home against the Ravens.

The Packers entered the game with a 15-game winning streak at home. The Jets snapped it and won outright, 24-10. Meanwhile, the Saquon Barkley made a lead-preserving decision by foregoing a second touchdown to force the Ravens to burn their timeouts. The Giants went on to win 24-20 at MetLife Stadium.

People on Twitter went wild, as expected, after both teams won. Here are some of the best reactions, memes, and photos after the games ended:

Following the Jets’ win, a Jets fan put a cheese hat on Sauce Gardner, who had three total tackles against the Packers.

It’s safe to say along with the Jets’ opponents, the fans are getting LOST IN THE SAUCE and buying into the young core of Breece Hall, Gardner, and Garrett Wilson.

The Lafleur brothers faced each other, and Jets offensive coordinator Mike bested his older brother, who is at the helm for Green Bay.

Safe to say the holidays might be awkward for the family.

Many Jets fans noted head coach Robert Saleh’s list of receipts is getting longer, after he got brutalized for making the comment after a Jets loss earlier in the season.

Aaron Rodgers, who said the team was about to start rolling, was frustrated all afternoon. He was sacked four times.

The Giants, who many have trolled for being the worst 5-1 team, dropped this tweet for the haters:

And threw some shade at the Ravens and Maryland with this FIRE tweet:

(See what I did there?)

You have to respect the Giants’ social media team.

It’s been a long time coming for Jets and Giants fans. New York sports fans can rejoice this week, but it’s back to work next week. The Jets head to Denver to face a very beatable Russell Wilson and the Broncos, while the Giants hit the road to play a slumping Jaguars team.
