Tom Brady Proves Once Again He Deserves More Credit Than Bill Belichick

Tom Brady left the New England Patriots to prove to the world that he can win without Bill Belichick. Well, he has proved it so far in his first postseason appearance in the NFC with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady beat one of the best defenses in the league in the Washington Football Team before knocking out Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints (who also have a pretty solid defense) in the Divisional Round. Yes, I know he has a ton of weapons behind him, but he made a decision to go to Tampa to prove himself and he has backed it up.

On the other hand, Bill Belichick didn’t prove that he deserves more credit than Brady for their six Super Bowls in their first season apart from one another. He tried to revive Cam Newton‘s career after a long layoff and it failed. Newton threw two more interceptions than touchdowns and Belichick led a team that lost more games than they won which included defeats at the hands of the Broncos, the injury-riddled 49ers, the 4-win Texans, and the Dolphins.

This season has definitely proved that the players should always get more credit for winning championships than coaches. At the end of the day, they are the ones that dictate if they win or lose.

It’s only one season and Brady still has to get past the Packers in his 14th career conference championship game if he wants to be in the Super Bowl, but he’s proved that he’s still the same guy without Coach Belichick. Belichick, meanwhile, is still searching for Brady’s permanent replacement.
