This Is David Peterson! MLB Debut Goes Well In Mets Win Over Red Sox

In his MLB debut at Fenway Park David Peteterson pitched five innings of two-run ball, allowing seven hits, while striking out three. The 6’6″ lefty from California touched 93-94 on the gun with his fastball utilizing his slider and changeup as well. “This is one of the greatest days of my life” said David Peterson who earned his first career win.

Robinson Cano’s 2nd hit of the season was a RBI double that got the Mets on the board first. Amed Rosario batting lead off for the 3rd consecutive game added a RBI single in the 2nd inning giving the Mets a 3-0 lead. J.D. Davis hit a opposite field home run to right field off the Pesky Pole in the 5th inning giving the Mets and Peterson a 5-1 lead.

The Mets won their 2nd in a row 8-3 against Boston as the series heads south to Citi Field with two time Cy-Young award winner Jacob deGrom on the hill.
