The Jets Don’t Care What You Think, They Aren’t Trying

The New York Jets stink. There’s no other way around it. They are 0-5 in their first eight games and Adam Gase is going to get fired. But they let the world know they aren’t trying to win anymore when they released star RB Le’Veon Bell on Tuesday evening.

If I was Sam Darnold, I would be bracing myself to be traded for a mid-round draft pick at this point because the Jets are the only team in the league intentionally trying to get the No. 1 draft pick so they can get Trevor Lawrence.

At least the 0-5 Giants have a coach who is trying to win. At least the Giants have a team that fought until the final seconds went off the clock last Sunday vs the Cowboys.

But the Jets, on the other hand, are embracing the word ‘sucking’. They’re doing it quite well.

I wonder what the team’s thought process was for releasing Bell. It wouldn’t surprise me if they thought “Hmm, we are 0-5 so I think the best player on our team is the problem. Let’s trade him! Maybe that will help.”

Buy your Trevor Lawrence jerseys now Jets fans because the writing is on the wall.
