2021 Red Sox First-Third of the Season Report Card

Give or take a few games here or there for various teams around Major League Baseball, we’re approximately one-third of the way through the MLB season! It’s been a pretty solid one for the Red Sox all things considered. They currently sit 2.0 games out of first place in the American League and hold the top Wild Card spot. After a stellar start to the season, the Red Sox are ever so slightly coming back down to earth. As recently as May 15th, Boston boasted the best record in baseball. Red Sox-Twins Series Opener Postponed After Shooting Outside Minneapolis

The first of four games between the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins has been postponed in the aftermath of a police-involved shooting that took the life of a 20 year-old Black man outside of Minneapolis last night. The Twins statement says that they have “decided in the best interest of [our] fans, staff, players and community not to play today’s game.” The full statement can be seen below. The remainder of the Red Sox-Twins series is in question and more information should become available as the situation evolves.
