I live and work as a librarian in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, known colloquially as “the DMV,” with my partner and our four children: three cats and a dog. I enjoy watching baseball, hockey, tennis, and soccer. I’ve been a Red Sox fan for 15 years, ever since my brother attended college in Massachusetts. It started as a way for me to bond with my brother, and since then has grown into a bit of an obsession. I now know more about Red Sox baseball than any of my friends or family. I didn’t play baseball growing up, and I wasn’t raised in a baseball-loving family, but after following numerous baseball reporters and podcasts, I became motivated to try my hand at writing about the Red Sox. I love the thought process behind baseball, I often compare it to chess. I love the atmosphere of the ballpark, and the crack of the bat as a batter hits a home run or line drive.
