Apparently Stephon Gilmore Doesn’t Think Much of New Bills Receiver Stefon Diggs

Stephon Gilmore
took to Twitter Friday night to defend Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper after Rex Ryan ruthlessly ripped him on ESPN’s “Get Up”. While Gilmore pumped up one of the league’s best wideouts, he also disrespected another.Gilmore liked a tweet calling Bills trade acquisition Stefon Diggs “light work” in response to a fan questioning how Gilmore would fare against the star receiver in their division rivalry matchups next season.

The last time Gilmore and the Patriots matched up with Diggs he was help to 5 catches for 49 yards and 0 touchdowns in the Vikings 24-10 loss in New England in 2018.

A Stefon-Stephon beef would only add even more intrigue to a budding Patriots-Bills rivalry. With the Patriots tyrannical reign over the AFC East seemingly coming to an end and the Bills being the popular choice to be the first AFC East team other than the Patriots to win the division since 2009, the games next season between New England and Stephon Gilmore’s former team should be chalk full of intensity.

You could also add the months of trade rumors linking Diggs to the Patriots prior to him being dealt to the Bills to the list of juicy storylines at play next time these two teams face one another. Evidently, Bill Belichick deemed the asking price a bit too rich for New England’s blood and was content allowing Buffalo to land the Pro Bowl receiver. If his Twitter likes are any indication, Stephon Gilmore likely feels the same way.
